Cookies and browser storage
Cookie Policy
The current static build does not intentionally set analytics, advertising or preference cookies. This policy must be updated if the live technology changes.
Current status
No non-essential tracking is active in the site code
A cookie is a small piece of data a website can store in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and software development kits. The current Sister Casinos NZ code does not intentionally create analytics or advertising cookies and does not save interface preferences in local storage.
Technology status in this build
| Category | Current site-code status | Purpose if introduced |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | None intentionally set by the static site code | Security, load balancing, consent records or another service a reader requests |
| Preferences | Not active | Remember a reader-selected interface setting |
| Analytics | Not active | Measure aggregated website use and diagnose content or performance problems |
| Advertising or attribution | Not active | Measure an external link or advertising interaction |
How we classify browser technology
- Strictly necessary: required to deliver a service, protect the website or remember a privacy choice. Disabling these may affect a requested function.
- Preferences: remembers an optional choice such as display or language settings.
- Analytics: helps understand how pages are used and where errors occur.
- Advertising or attribution: identifies or measures an interaction across a commercial or advertising journey.
Non-essential technology should not be activated until its provider, purpose, duration, data access and reader controls have been documented. Where consent is required, the website must provide a genuine choice before activation.
How to control cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies and clear site data. Controls are normally found under privacy, security or site settings. Blocking all cookies can prevent some website features from working. Browser settings do not necessarily block server logs or every similar technology.
If a consent control is added later, it should let readers revisit their choice without searching for this policy. Clearing browser data may also clear a saved consent choice.
Changes and questions
This policy will be reviewed when the hosting stack, analytics, embedded media, external-link handling or consent configuration changes. A live cookie scan should support the review, but it does not replace checking the actual code and provider settings.
